Day 15: RPG Boss Music
I love brass, my father and older brother played trumpet and I played trombone. The sound that the instruments is so rich and intense that when it's heard just right it's a treat to my ears.
Lost Odyssey is a seriously underrated RPG that desperately needs a remaster. The boss theme slaps and there is a part near the end where I'm legitimately worried about the trumpet player who hits that note. Give it a listen and you'll know what I'm talking about, I'm pretty sure the person on lead trumpet probably blasted out his tonsils into low earth orbit.

Day 15- Boss Battle Music: Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals- Battle #2
Lufia 2 is one of the Super Nintendo's lesser-known gems. Gameplay, story, characters, music- it's all great. It also had a full-on DS remake which shuffled around the characters a bit and changed the gameplay completely, but kept the same overall plot. It was alright overall. It's worth a look if you liked the SNES game.
But it did deliver cleaned-up versions of the original soundtrack. The new songs are barely remixes, but the soundtrack was already outstanding.

Day 15 - Boss Battle Theme - Monster Hunter: World - Bazelgeuse theme
Told you there'd be more Monster Hunter! (I'm in the bounds of the no repeat games hard mode) Anyways, Bazel is a wild fight that his music definitely reflects, the starting strings sound like an air-raid siren since the damn Wyvern acts like a carpet bomber, dropping explosive scales onto unsuspecting hunters as they try to finish a mssion. While he never gets his own mission or fight I will always consider him a nuisance of a boss since, lets face it, he's in every single boss fight in the game at High Rank. Here's to the B-52 BAWmber himself, and the greatest weapons in High Rank outside of the major elder dragon raids. Hope he's back in Monster Hunter Rise.

Day 16: 16 bit music
The early days of PC gaming were a wild frontier of jury rigging and compromises. PCs entered the 16 bit era as VGA cards came out. Now we had a whopping 256 colors to work with and with that also came better sound technology. Early Adlib and Soundblaster tech had a certain sound to it, but it could be really janky. Most times games would just ignore it, but you'd get some trailblazers like ID, Apogee, and Epic who really pushed what a bog standard PC could do. Sierra and LucasArts had some bangers to, but they really shined if you got yourself a Roland sound system and those, uh, got expensive and I wouldn't really consider those to be 16 bit.
As for the game Tyrian 2000 is probably one of the best and most accessible shmups on the PC and it is mostly forgotten nowadays. Grab a copy off of GoG, the music goes great with the frantic action and it's got a good amount of content to offer! While the tunes aren't anything I'd listen to out of the game, it still offers one of those soundtracks that absolutely complements the game.

Day 16- 16 Bit Music: Super Mario RPG- Happy Adventure, Delightful Adventure
Another of the SNES greats, this game's soundtrack spent entire days in my head. The B-Roll for this game's title screen had no right being as lively as it was and its upbeat medley loops way too well when it's stuck in your head. This is weapons-grade cheer.

Day 17 Though the following is a little too intense for my regular listening. If remixed into lofi or something then I could listen to it on repeat for hours.

Day 17 Music you never get tired of Dwarf Fortress - Fortress Mode Theme www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6FXeupOp04Don't know why, but I have listened to this little guitar melody over and over more times than I can count, and I don't even play Dwarf Fortress.
