Five islands float in the vastness of an eternal sky...




A cool wind rises from The Deep, and a new island rises with it...




Numbness...




You... You feel numb. Like you're floating weightlessly in a dark, endless void.

You're conscious. You just realized that. You've never been conscious before, you think.

You feel your heart start to beat.

You start to open your eyes...




It's dark in here. Uugghhhh.




You feel a chill run across your body, frozen sensationless numbness thaws into bone chilling pain.

You jolt up, shivering and confused atop a slab of some sort. Where are you? Who are you? Why is it so cold?




You see a passageway and head towards it, tracing your hand along the wall. There seems to be some light coming from that direction.
You want to get out of this strange, dark, cold room.

Suddenly, you hear a noise coming from up ahead. A sort of clattering, scuttling sound...
Now, on top of being cold and confused, you're scared.







Oh, it's just a... Whatever that little thing is?




Suddenly, something pounces on it. You hear a crunch crunch crunch as the creature's teeth dig into that poor little... reptile, you guess it was?

The toothy creature chomps and gulps down its prey. Then you look on in horror as turns its head toward you...






"Hi hi hi!"

[Fish]

Burst into tears, this is a whole lot to deal with right off the bat

You burst into tears and immediately run away.



"Hrm? Oh no! Where are you going?"

You trip and fall flat on the floor. You scramble behind the slab you awoke upon earlier.






"You're scared? No no! Kespo is good! Good Kespo! Safe too. No hurt. Don't cry."






"Your... Your name is Kespo?"



"Yes, yes! I'm Kespo! I'm a friend."






"Do I have a name?"

"Kespo the second!"

"Kespo is the greatest. Fact! Who woundn't wanna be Kespo?"



"Uh, thank you but no."

You don't particularly want to be called "bug-lizard" and you don't know how to break it to Kespo that that's what their name means. You don't even know why you know that, but before you can really ponder the question of why you somehow know these things innately, Kespo offers another suggestion.






"Ok, try the name Lamlam on for size!"




You chuckle. You don't think "Lamlam" is right either, but you humor them anyway. You find it very silly that they want to call you something that means "noisy noise."



"Haha ah, well you can call me that, but if I find a better name, I'll switch to it. Ok?"






"Lamlam it is! Now let's go outside. It's cold as fuck in here!"

You're starting to warm up to Kespo, but it's about time for you to warm up in general.
