Day 4: Console exclusive Game - Bloodborne
This was actually kinda hard. A lot of my favorite games that are console exclusive that I have also played have also been ported over. Thank goodness for Bloodborne staying a console exclusive after all these years.

I'M LATE! So I'll do all four of the first ones at once! I'll try to not do repeat games if possible, but for some of these categories it may be a little hard.
1: Title Screen Music The theme for the Heart of Thorns expansion for Guild Wars 2. Now, unfortunately, this track no longer plays as the opening theme (now its the Path of Fire theme, and once the next expansion comes out, it'll change to that). But for those few years during the HoT expansion... you almost didn't want to click play, just so you could listen to the theme! 2: Opening Level Music The Glade, from Dust: An Elysian Tail. The "tutorial zone" music did NOT have to go this hard. 3: 8-bit Music Hero, from Iji. This song is for an easter egg, where you interact with one of the computers in the world and get to play Hero3D, which was a sidescrolling black-and-white shooter developed by the same creator as Iji. (I may cheat and use another song from Iji for another day, and say "well technically this song is for a different game") 4: Music from a Console-Exclusive Series Spicy Calamari Inkantation from Splatoon 2. Woomy!

I love the beat to this song. It's the perfect theme for scrambling around a dystopic factory where you really shouldn't be. The cycles of the machinery and owls with howitzers click with the tempo of the song and keep things frantic until you hit a quiet part in the level. Then the lower tones make it sound like the stage is waiting for you to make a move.

Day 5: Hub World/Overworld Theme
What can I say? I'm a fool for variations on a theme. One of my favorite things to do in a videogame soundtrack is to see when the composer takes existing music and recomposes to fit another purpose. The normally determined, forceful main theme to the song becomes an almost dreamlike lullaby as you walk around the modern era. While there are many other absolutely amazing tracks from this game, sometimes you just need something laid back to help pull you into the world.

Day 5: Hub World
Sanctuary from STRAFE
Such a calming tune, great for preparing yourself for the blood, gore, and bunnyhopping that awaits you!

This jam plays over Hyperspace travel in Star Control Origins. Just as well- you spend a lot of time jumping from star to star and poking at the map screen. From its first faltering steps to stopping and picking itself back up halfway through, Take to the Stars sets the tone of space exploration perfectly.
