Out of curiosity. Can you remember your first, like....fandom thing you crushed on, where you found like a community who had the same interests and you delved into with all of your heart.

I vaguely remember getting into Gamefaqs forums for SSX tricky for the PS2, and people were theory crafting characters backstories and writing little stories on characters interacting with others.
There was even a guy making music videos with clips from the game and man, it was a weird yet fun community, but I think it was like the first fandom I somehow stumbled into

yu yu hakusho. it was my first anime i got super deep into, i spent hours online reading fanfics and browsing fanart (as well as making my own of each), and i joined several yyh rp forums back on like...msn?

I can't remember if it was MLP or Megaman, but I got into both of them pretty damn hard around the same time, they definitely at least introduced me to the concept of fandoms and fanfiction.

I think the first one I ever _REALLY_ got into and fangasmed over as opposed to just like "Oh I have an interest in thing I'll look at what people say/make about it" was Touhou Project.

My friends and I used to write and draw Sonic the Hedgehog fanart and fiction. I had to have been, like... what's 4th grade? 10? 11?

Yeah, I played the games, read the comics, wrote a crazy buncha fan fiction. My very first best friend was quite the artist (I seem to be super 'drawn' to artists ((eyyyy) turns out) so we teamed up on a lot of stuff. My first comics buddy!
