You can't tell if Chris is joking or not, but you step in to smooth things over anyways.
"Oh, um, specials? Uh- My sister took the day off so I didn't have time to make them... Sorry, um- but- everything here is good."
He pauses and looks down at the counter.
"Um- I'm sorry if this is rude, but, um, are you, uh? Are you maybe the City Master?"
You inform him that, yes, you are, but you are trying to keep that quiet for now. You also ask him if he knows any grocers that are nearby since you kind of need to do some shopping after this.

You're Chris again. The dragon is talking to the spooky fire guy now, but that's fine because there's so much bread here. There's also that weird paper thing the guy was looking at, and you're sort of curious what's in it. Ughhh, there's so many interesting things in here and it smells really nice. What do you do? Do you plan out what pastries you want, or is it time to investigate this weird paper thing? |
