You give the room another glance and look back at the bartender. "Fine, if I can't get drunk, I'll at least have something hearty. Whip me up some mashed potatoes." "Ma'am you are aware this is a bar." "Yeah, and I see finger foods all around. Take some tater tots or something and put 'em in a blender." The bartender mutters something under his breath and heads to the backroom. As you head off to mingle you can faintly hear. "I leave you alone for ten goddamn minutes Humphrey!" After assessing the room once more you pull up towards the color changing Ricodan Wizard. "Can I help you? The wizard seems to be holding their own, upon closer inspection they are a female Ricodan.
She's wearing a flowing robe that changes patterns and colors. Currently it is a tessellating patter of Purple and Blue.
Her features are sharp and her top fangs slightly protrude, giving her a predatory look.
Currently she has settled at lime green scales with purple head spines. Her friends seem to be fairly soused. "Ah, yes, Clancy Placidlake. I'm just getting the lay of the land." "Vega Brighthue." She conjures a green business card from her robes. Upon taking the business card it turns into a rainbow of colors in your hands. "Well, color me interested." "Wow, that's a helluva card." "Yes, however it's supposed to change color depending on your mood and condition." "Huh...so what am I currently feeling." "According to the card...everything." "That's..." "Concerning?"
"How about we change the conversation." "Hm...well you've piqued my interest, lead the way." |

You pause and take a closer look at the business card
You try to empty your mind and think of pure nothingness for a moment. The card starts to go slightly grey but then snaps back to rainbow. "It's a simple enchantment. Psychosensitive film over Eggshell cardstock. It adapts to reveal it's holder's currently mental state." "Huh...neat. It was green while you were handing it to me, any meaning to that." "Well, the three lovely individuals with me apparently forgot to negate the sheer amount of alcohol they downed." She points towards two beastmen and another female Ricodan. "So now I'm going to have to deal with their black out drunk asses and it's barely past noon..." 'Ah..." "So...uh...then what does this rainbow mean?" "Well, it means you're rather interesting to be quite frank." "How so?" "You are feeling different things at the same time, the only time I've seen reactions like this are in cases where someone is utterly manic, psychotic, or when they have psychic blocks on them." "Huh..." "So, which is it?" "I wish I could tell you..." "Well, sometimes confusion can yield a similar result." "That might be it, mind if I hold onto this card?" "Not at all, in fact if you wouldn't mind giving me your number, we could talk about an interview some time after the con." "Sorry, I'm in between phones right now." "Fair enough, at least give me a call, you've piqued my interest that I'd at least like to see your skill set." You chuckle slightly "Well, thanks for that, but I'm currently employed." "Oh, by who?" "I'm here with Esoteric Investigators." "Huh, headhunting here too?" "Nah, just scoping out the con, seeing what's going on. They just sent me here on a whim." "Funny, I thought they had a booth in the convention hall."
"Yeah, I'm gonna say hi to some of my colleagues while I'm roaming the hall. Say do you have a spare copy of the schedule." Vega takes a schedule book off one of her blacked out colleagues. "Here, knock yourself out." [Acquired Psychosensitive Business Card]

Scope out the convention schedule. We need to find the booth that (probably) has our contacts for this investigation. Also, we need to locate the convention itself. Oooh, and see if there any workshops for harnessing magic powers and/or fixing amnesia.

You take a look at the Con Guide.
It is a mish-mash of advertisements and disclaimers. The first two pages seem to read like a waiver.
The workshops and seminars make up most of the heft of the book. It looks like if you're trying to find workshops on harnessing your powers or even curing your amnesia, there is no shortage.
Today there is, Moving beyond Fireball: How to unleash alternate elemental explosions. Marathon Astral Projection, Running a Mile in your dreams. Modern Necromancy: Not just Zombies and Talking Skulls
As for Amnesia there is: The Collective Unconscious, Recovering from Retrograde Amnesia with the help of others. Talk softly and carry a big stick: Curing Amensia with Blunt Force Trauma.
These just skim the surface. It seems the convention is about four days long, and it kicks off today. It seems like you could find something for whatever you're looking for really, some of these topics are just...odd.
Further helpful is the convention map, it seems that they have a great deal many exhibitors.

That's totally up to you, I was just showing what they layout of the convention was. You can choose to check certain vendors, roam the floor, look for a specific seminar, or even go elsewhere in Rishada.

3: Buy something at Wizdingos Annonymous....or get some swag!

After a conversation with an illusionist, you have procured a copy of a convention schedule. You have perused it and made your way to the lobby of the hotel.
The receptionist, a middle-aged red scaled Ricodan wearing a Goldenrod blazer smiles and nods as you walk past their desk. A hot breeze gusts through the revolving door in the front.
