>Guidance...Oh gosh Guidance...Why am... I? Firnal: (looking concerned) Oh! You seemed to be so full of life before, I'm sorry if I've done something to hinder you. (You notice that she tries not to look hurt as she goes a bit paler than before) Um, well... you exist because you were willed into being by your godly parents. They probably felt that there was something lacking in the Human Realm that you could fill the niche of. Don't worry, failure is just the opposite of existence, not a problem! (She puts on a plaster smile) Self: You feel a coldness inside come over you. A deep dread of a terrible roiling something that means the end of YOU, and an eternity of... Firnal: I know how to make it up to you! Let's have a nice clear choice. Hmm, OK... Let's stay here and study in the Library, or go exercise at the Gymnasium! A choice, do you choose the path of knowledge or the path of physicality?

Gymnasium. I want to learn to fight. I get a sneaking feeling I'll need to do know how in the future.

>Knowledge, I think we wanna read. There is so many questions! Gymnasium. I want to learn to fight. I get a sneaking feeling I'll need to do know how in the future. Self: You really want to do both right now! Maybe you can? You focus on being two places at once and suddenly you have a third eye in the middle of your now wider head.
Firnal: Stop! That’s a dangerous skill for even strong Godlings.
She closes her eyes and you feel something surround your form like a box or a blanket. You feel yourself go back to having two eyes. Okay, I had my suspicions but I think this confirms it. You are a Khozuosa, an Imbalancer. They are rare amongst our kind. It’s not a bad thing though, it just means you have a more dramatic Nature.
She smiles with her whole face.
The other kinds of Godlings are Stocatum, the Balancers, and Villder. Villder are weaker than the other two but are the most common.
She takes a deep breath and continues I’ve used some of my power to make you safer. Let’s just start here in the Library and move on the Gymnasium later. Let’s start with Quantum Physics, oh, or maybe Organic Chemistry! Where do you want to begin? We have any and all subjects available!
Stay here and study with Guidance, wander the Library, or...?

Can you tell me more about what an Imbalancer...is? What it does?

we should study something in the liberal arts. please consider..... poetry, philosophy, or, better yet, procrastination. maybe there's some cool encyclopedias you can flip through and get distracted by.

Can you tell me more about what an Imbalancer...is? What it does? Firnal adjusts her glasses on her nose.
So, an Imbalancer, or Khozuosa, is what we call a Godling whose inherent Nature gives them power beyond their learned experience. It is also what we call Godlings whose Nature can be a danger to others. Sita the Hunger and Inano the Void are such two. Those two are much older than I, and generally keep to themselves. Some Godlings are born Khozuosa but become Stocatum, Balancers. Those who are Stocatum, like myself, have mastered our Nature and found purpose. The rest are Villder, those on the path to mastery.
we should study something in the liberal arts. please consider..... poetry, philosophy, or, better yet, procrastination. maybe there's some cool encyclopedias you can flip through and get distracted by. You decide that rather than delve deep into a conversation about existence you'd like to explore. You browse through the books with all manner of titles from Grass, an Extensive Horticultural Study to The Mythic Age of the Zhocnian Dynasty but nothing much catches your eye. Firnal opens the door and you see that you are just in one small room of a much bigger building. This room is similarly decorated but has rows upon rows of shelves and dozens of desks for reading. Picture books with animals. You spot it, a book nearly as tall as yourself, Avery's Amazing Animal Artwork. Rushing to grab the book and set it up on the nearest desk you are enraptured by the very detailed painted depictions of all manner of beast. So engrossed with the book you don't notice that Firnal isn't there anymore until you hear voices farther into the room. Voice (angry): ...it's my grove, what happens there is up to me, not her! Voice (hushed): They asked for my help.
What next?

Eavesdrop, but also, keep looking at those great pictures! You're learning so much from these great books, it'd be a shame to stop looking.

Eavesdrop, but also, keep looking at those great pictures! Let's eavesdrop as much as we can before they see us. Leave this sweet book behind? No way baby. You slide off the chair easily and begin to stealthily slink between the shelves of books.
Voice (angry): You don't have to help a human just because they ask! Now they know about one of my hidden groves.
Voice (hushed): Firnal, they were going to let the humans be eaten by bears. One of them is a very devout priest of mine. >Oops, you knocked over a nearby broom, you are so clumsy! Whoa, are two Godlings having an argument? You've only met Firnal so far. You try and peek between the books on the shelf but are still getting use to your tentacles and this book is heavy.
CRASH!
You fall forward through the books noting one title The Art of Keeping a Tidy Home with an illustration of a broom on the cover. Looking up from the floor you see three people. Firnal is standing facing you while trying not to giggle. To your right, already kneeling to help you up, is a young woman with genuine concern on her face. To your left is a person with dragonfly wings rolling their eyes while frowning.
Firnal: Well since you are so keen to be part of a private conversation let me introduce you to Cirilha, God of the Virgin Woods and Sanctuary. She gestures to the one with wings. And Alenora, God of Mercy. She gestures to the young woman helping you up. This is Benerion Uthgert Mavenerra, or BUM, for short. I believe you've heard quite a bit of the situation these two have brought before me. What would you suggest as a solution? It seems she's expecting an answer.

The issue is that you don't want the humans leaving and telling others about the grove, right? Just don't let them leave. You could make use of a few humans, right? ...Or if not that, you could curse them so that if they DO talk about the grove they'll turn into a forest creature or something.

Maybe your book has a good suggestion in it. Open it to a random page and read out loud a new answer that will surely help these two!
